About
The Ready Team
Ready Survival Kits is written by The Ready Team, a group of people with military training, agricultural training and research science backgrounds, among others.
Why we're anonymous
We keep our names private. We'd rather you judge our work by its sources than by who we are, so every safety claim on this site links to the official agency or peer-reviewed research it came from, and you can check any of it yourself.
What we believe
- Accuracy first. This is life-safety information. If we can't source a claim, we don't publish it.
- Fast when it matters. Every guide opens with a quick card you can read in under a minute.
- Practical for real households. Advice should work for one person or a small family on a real budget.
- Officials come first. In an emergency, follow instructions from local emergency services. Our guides support that, never replace it.
